Product description
Red Cherry Shrimp belong to the species Neocaridina davidi.
They work perfectly as the so-called “clean-up crew”, because they eat food leftovers left for example by other aquarium animals. Additionally, they help to limit the development of algae in the aquarium, as it is part of their diet. They willingly eat, among others, diatoms, green algae and small filamentous algae (although not all types).
Purpose
Recommended for people who are just starting their adventure with shrimp. Compared to other varieties, they do not require a lot of effort in their care. They help to limit the growth of algae in the aquarium.

What you should know before purchase
Sold individuals may have different coloration – from completely grey to slightly reddish.
They are culls from higher grade shrimp, namely Sakura Red, which also belong to the genus Neocaridina davidi.
To develop properly, they need stable water parameters and a mature aquarium.
We sell individuals sized 0.5 – 1.5 cm to ensure better acclimatization to new conditions in the aquarium. Larger individuals have a poorer tendency to acclimate to a new environment.
